The Mission

This website was to manage some of the massive volume of art that Umberto had compiled. Because of how prolific he is, this site could not approach being a full accounting of his works. The mission here was to present this selection of pieces in a way that gave the work its due, and provided relevent information about each piece to prospective buyers of fine art. It had to do this while working on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

About the Client

Umberto Crenca is an accomplished painter of fine art, performance artist, sculptor, and musician. His work has shown in RI, CT, and Italy, and that was before he founded AS220 in 1985 where he served as Artistic Director until his retirement in 2015. His work appears in the permanent collections of Rhode Island School of Design and Newport Art Museums, as well as in numerous private collections in the US and abroad.
