I’m a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design, and I’ve spent my career exploring different aspects of the field — from manufacturing and advertising to publishing. Along the way, I’ve worked as a Graphic Designer, Junior Art Director, and an Art Director, which eventually led me to start Alan Greco Design in 1992 here in East Greenwich, RI.
The concept that has always guided my work is “form follows function.” I like design that gets out of its own way — where everything has a purpose and the message comes through clearly, without noise or distraction. When that happens, the design feels transparent – in the best possible way.
Since starting my studio, I’ve worked on print and digital projects — branding, packaging, marketing materials, and websites. I’m a big believer in understanding both the design and the production side of things, so the work not only looks good, but actually works the way it was intended. Mine is a small design studio, which means I stay hands-on with every project, from start to finish. You’re working directly with me throughout the entire process.
